Study on the spatial-temporal evolution characteristics and coordination of population and ecosystem services value in central China
It is of great significance to study the spatial and temporal evolution characteristics and coordination between population and ecosystem services value for promoting the construction of Chinese modernization featuring harmonious coexistence between humani-ty and nature. In the historical background of promoting high-quality development in central China, this papery used the methods of ge-ographic concentration, spatial autocorrelation, and spatial mismatch index to explore the spatial-temporal evolution characteristics and coordination between population and ecosystem services value in central China in 2000,2010 and 2020.The results showed that:①The population of central China had increased from 342.4872 million to 364.6943 million. The density was gradually increasing. The center of population distribution was located in the northeast part of central China, forming a five-core distribution pattern of"one primary core and four secondary cores",with most cities in Henan Province and some cities in mid-northern Anhui province as the primary core,as well as four provincial capitals Taiyuan,Changsha,Wuhan and Nanchang as the secondary core. The"Matthew effect"of popu-lation agglomeration gradually increased.②The ecosystem services value had increased from 2 605.000 billion yuan to 2 637.148 bil-lion yuan, and per capita ecosystem services value decreased gradually, and its spatial distribution is roughly bounded by Qinling Mountains and Huaihe River, being high in the south and being low in the north.③The coordination degree between population and eco-system services value was low in central China. The main conflict type in the northern and southern cities of central China was that eco-system services value level was greater than population demand, while in central cities mainly showed that ecosystem services value level was less than population demand. The number of coordinated cities was small, scattered in a dot pattern, but its scope increasing gradu-ally.
