Study on rural township classification and planning strategies based on the perspective of biological capacity-self-development ability-potential in Hubei Province
Making development strategies for township is the requirement for township level comprehensive spatial planning,and the inevitable choice for high quality development of townships.Taking Hubei Province as an example,based on the basic unit of townships,this paper analyzed the development of townships based on carrying capacity endogeneity potential.Moreover,this paper constructed a township classification index system from 5 dimensions including location conditions,natural resources,socio-economic conditions,fa-cility facilities,and local characteristics,with 34 indicators.The value is assigned using the combination of subjective and objective anal-ysis,and the development types of townships are classified using the natural breakpoint grading method.According to the comprehensive advantages and characteristic advantages of towns and villages,this paper divided all the towns into"five types and four forms",namely suburban service type,key development type,optimization and promotion type,retention improvement type,and ecological resources form,tourism driven form,modern agriculture form,industrial oriented form,balanced development form.Moreover,this paper compares and analyzes the development characteristics and spatial pattern of various towns and villages.Finally,according to the comprehensive classification and characteristic classification,a combination classification is formed,and corresponding planning strategies are put for-ward to provide scientific basis for township classification evaluation and development planning.
