Tourist gaze and power narration:An analytical perspective——A case study of diversified management of the tourism ecological field of Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village
Developing ethnic village tourism has become a vital way for consolidating poverty alleviation achievements and imple-menting rural revitalization strategies in ethnic minority areas of China. This paper selected the Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village in Leishan County,Qiandonghan Prefecture,Guizhou Province as a case study, and used symbiosis theory and field theory to construct a tourism ec-ological field for ethnic villages.Through tourism gaze theory,Amos software was used to analyze the path coefficient of power narrative behavior exerted by the gaze subject,in order to explore the symbiotic interaction and collaborative governance logic of the gaze subject. The results showed that:①There were multiple subjects interacting and gazing in the tourism ecological field of ethnic villages, with ad-ditional subjects indirectly participating in the narrative behavior of"dehumanization".②From the perspective of tourist gaze, there was a significant positive correlation between the interaction and symbiosis between tourists and various subjects,as well as the power narra-tive behaviors of government supervision and management, effective handling of affairs, simple and honest customs of residents, easy communication, honest operation of enterprises, and good service. The"subject object gaze"had the strongest impact on the construction of an ecological field of ethnic villages with"diversified governance and sustained efficiency enhancement".③From the perspective of tourist gaze, tourists had a better understanding of the power narrative behaviors of residents, such as simple folk customs, authentic ex-periences,and distinctive features. They also had a strong sense of agreement with the govemmert's supervision and management, policy incentives, and effective handling of affairs.
