Spatio-temporal evolution and differential analysis of the coupling and coordination between data-reality integration and high-quality economic development
Digital-real integration is explicitly mandated in the Twentieth National Congress report and plays a pivotal role in fos-tering high-quality economic development. This paper had established an evaluation index system for China's digital-real integration development, encompassing five dimensions:basic integration, innovation integration, application integration, benefit integration, and ec-ological integration.Utilizing panel data from 30 provinces in China spanning the period 2010 to 2021,this paper measured digital-real integration, economic high-quality development, and the coupling and coordination level between the two. This paper studied the spatio-temporal evolution and regional differences using kernel density estimation and Dagum's Gini coefficient method. The results indica-ted that the level of coupling coordination in all provinces had shown a general increase.During the study period, regions with lower lev-els of coupling coordination experienced a significant rise, demonstrating a catching-up trend, although the growth rate has gradually slowed down.Nationally, the coupling coordination level exhibited a pattern of initial agglomeration followed by dispersion. While the gap was narrowing,it was marked by multilevel differentiation, and the evolution of coupling coordination levels across regions also displayed diverse trends.Regional disparities in the coupling coordination of digital-real integration and high-quality economic development had eased, primarily stemming from inter-regional gaps. The largest gap in coupling coordination levels between provinces was observed in the eastern region, with the most significant disparity in coupling coordination development levels compared to other regions.
