Evaluating the integration efficiency in agriculture, culture, and tourism in underdeveloped areas and exploring enhancement paths——An empirical analysis of 14 cities in Guangxi
With increasing market competition and evolving consumer demand, the integrated development of agriculture, culture, and tourism has emerged as a critical strategy to optimize industrial structures and promote regional economic growth.Drawing on theo-ries of industrial integration and configuration, this paper employed the DEA cross-efficiency model to assess the integration efficiency among agriculture and tourism, culture and tourism, and agriculture and culture.Additionally, this paper used the fsQCA method to iden-tify effective development pathways for these pairs of integrations. The results showed that:①The integration efficiency of agriculture, culture, and tourism in Guangxi generally showed an upward trend, with the efficiency of agriculture and culture integration surpassing that of both agriculture and tourism, and culture and tourism.② Integration efficiency across cities was generally low, with limited high-efficiency areas and uneven development.③Five factors—economic development, transportation infrastructure, government support, openness to external markets, and technological innovation—constitute seven pathways to achieving high integration efficiency, with technological innovation being the key driver. Therefore, underdeveloped regions should clearly define development paths, bolster govern-ment leadership, foster technological innovation, and maintain an agriculture-centric approach.Ultimately, integrating multiple indus-tries will contribute to rural revitalization with improved quality.
