Dry eye as one of the most common ocular surface diseases,to the patient's vision loss,dry eyes,eye burning,photophobia,etc.as the main clinical manifestations,mild will cause persistent eye discomfort in patients,and even affect visual function,dry eye as a multi-factor ocular surface disease,has been included in the chronic disease management system.In recent years,with the development of science and technology and social progress,the popularity of electronic products has increased,the incidence of dry eye is also increasing,the treatment of dry eye is not easy to achieve good results,the disease seriously affects the daily life and work of patients,and eventually leads to the reduction of personal quality of life.Although there are many kinds of Western medical methods,they are prone to recurrence and relatively high cost after treatment,and the acceptance of patients is low.In recent years,external treatment of TCM has outstanding advantages in the field of dry eye treatment.Based on more than 20 years of clinical treatment experience in dry eye diseases,XIE Ruiping proposed the acupuncture method of nine needles of nourishes the eyes for the treatment of dry eyes,and further grasped the etiology and pathogenesis of dry eyes on the basis of adhering to the traditional acupuncture external treatment method of TCM,and at the same time,combined with her own years of clinical practice experience,proposed the treatment concept of select acupuncture points to be close and farther,internal and external regulation of internal organs for dry eyes,selected nine basic acupuncture points such as Jingming(BL1),Cuanzhu(BL2),Sizhukong(SJ23),Sibai(ST2)to treat dry eye syndrome,with outstanding clinical efficacy,it is worth promoting the application.This article summarizes the clinical experience of Professor XIE Ruiping the treatment of dry eyes,elaborates from multiple angles and attaches case examples,so as to discuss the clinical application methods of acupuncture in the treatment of dry eye,in order to provide more ideas for the research of dry eye syndrome.
