The hot spots and research trends of treating lumbar disc herniation by acupuncture based on CiteSpace
Objective:To explore the development trend and research hotspots of acupuncture therapy in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation in recent years,so as to provide guidance for future research and exploration in this field.Methods:Literature on acupuncture therapy for lumbar disc herniation published from January 2012 to September 2022 on China National Knowledge Network(CNKI)was selected as the object.CiteSpace 6.1.R2 software was used to perform visual metrology analysis of the selected literature on co-authors,cooperative institutions and keywords.Results:A total of 944 articles were included.The number of articles published and the annual publication of these articles were firstly analyzed.It was concluded that the number of articles published from January 2012 to September 2022 showed a slight upward trend,and the number of articles published in 2019 was the highest,reaching 113.The number of publications was the lowest in 2012,with only 67(data in 2022 was not included in the comparison due to incompleteness).There were 349 relevant authors,among which the author with the highest number of articles published was ZHANG Qian(4 articles).Authors in this field generally published a few articles,but they established a lot of cooperative contacts.The literature involved 305 research institutions,most of which were traditional Chinese medicine colleges and affiliated hospitals.In the co-ocwrrence analysis of keywords,374 keywords were found,such as acupuncture therapy,massage,warm acupuncture,electroacupuncture,acupuncture and clinical efficacy.In the cluster analysis,13 cluster labels were found,including acupuncture,clinical efficacy,massage,Jiaji point(EX-B2),warm acupuncture,pain,review,small acupotomy,back and leg pain,etc..A total of 7 emergent words were found in the analysis,which were traction,clinical observation,cupping therapy,acupuncture therapy,lumbar function,arthralgia syndrome and inflammatory factors.Among them,traction,clinical observation and cupping were the earlier keywords,which were all from 2012 to 2014.Inflammatory factors were the latest keywords to emerge,between 2020 and 2022.In addition,lumbar function was the key word with the strongest degree of emergence.The keyword with the weakest degree of emergence was cupping.Conclusion:According to the visual metrology analysis and atlas,it can be seen that the development trend of this field in recent years has gradually changed from macroscopic treatment methods to microscopic mechanism research to adopt symptomatic treatment methods,the combination of acupuncture and medicine is a widely used treatment method at present.In addition,many characteristic treatment methods have been applied in this field,which has strong reference significance for the future development of this field.After that,it is also indispensable to study the mechanism of action of the above treatment methods,so as to find more accurate and precise symptomatic treatment methods,and to develop a more complete treatment plan.
