Exploration of the guiding role of the wood-fire tormenting metal theory in the differentiation and treatment of cough
To further clarify that liver fire attacking lung is one of the main pathologies of cough,we explore the relationship connotation between wood and metal,namely between liver and lung based on the theory of wood-fire tormenting metal.This study believes that soothing the liver is the key and treating the lung is the core,which provides a new idea for the treatment of pediatric cough.According to the relationship among five spirit,five-body,and five emotions and the mutual generation and interaction between liver and lung,namely wood and metal,and combined with the pathophysiological characteristics of children,it is believed that pediatric cough has a pathogenesis with two dimensions:physical and psychosomatic.One is the stagnation of body,that is to say,liver Qi(气)stagnation,liver loss of detachment,and liver fire upflaming and offending the lungs.Another is the stagnation of spirit Zang,that is to say,grievance,resulting in the loss of liver regulation,and then liver fire inflammation appears.So syndrome differentiation should be based on treating both body and spirit to achieve a holistic treatment effect from multiple dimensions,and in clinical practice,it is necessary not only to remove the depression of the body,but also to emphasize the depression of the mind.Man is an entity related to mind and body.Body and spirit are interdependent and inseparable.Body is the house of spirit and body is the master of spirit.That is to say,tangible prescription for governing viscera and intangible prescription for governing spirit should be simultaneously given.Tangible prescription through the treatment of lung to ease the liver,specifically to ease the liver and lung,and invisible prescription requires the child's family and child's participation to ease the liver through emotional guidance directly,the specific prescription is grievance guidance.In short,the theory of wood-fire tormenting meta,that is,liver-fire attacking lung,has clinical significance in reducing the occurrence and recurrence of cough in children.The flexible application of treating both body and spirit has a good effect on the diagnosis and treatment of cough,and has reference significance for the treatment of other lung diseases.
