An analysis of Chief Physician LIU Yongfeng's experience in treating rare abdominal pain of the Shaoyang deficiency syndrome based on syndrome differentiation
Abdominal pain is a common disease in traditional Chinese medicine, with a complex etiology and variable syndrome types, making syndrome differentiation particularly important. This article takes one case of abdominal pain treated by Chief Physician LIU Yongfeng as an example to explore and summarize the clinical experience in treating abdominal pain.During the diagnosis and treatment process,LIU Yongfeng mainly diagnosed Shaoyang(少 阳)deficiency syndrome based on the Six meridians differentiation, combined with the eight principles and viscera differentiation. It is believed that the pathogenesis changes include unfavorable Shaoyang axis, abnormal ascending and descending in the early stage, deficiency of healthy Qi(气)in the middle stage, excessive evil lingerling, and deficiency of both Qi and Yin(阴)in the later stage. It is proposed to mediate the Qi mechanism, reconcile Shaoyang, dispel urgency as the main focus in the early stage, supplement deficiency and restore healthy Qi in the middle stage, and also eliminate old evil factors. In the later stage,it is recommended to strengthen the spleen and stomach, nourish Yin and replenish Qi,and not forget the essence of acquired nature. And according to the changes in the patient's pathogenesis, prescriptions such as the Xiaochaihu decoction(小柴胡汤),Renshen Baidu San(人参败毒散),and the Shashen Maidong decoction(沙参麦冬汤)were administered at different stages, with significant results. This article combines this medical case to analyze and reappear the diagnosis and treatment ideas and processes, analyze specific prescriptions, and experience LIU's diagnosis and treatment approach of using the six meridians syndrome differentiation. It reflects the treatment ideas of reconciling the visceral axis, emphasizing the examination of causes, clinical differentiation, and caring for Qi,blood, and body fluids. It broadens ideas for the diagnosis and treatment of abdominal pain, provides clinical experience, and better guide clinical practice and serve patients.
