Treating 2 cases of ischemic bowel disease caused by taking Mabiancao
Mabiancao(Herba Verbenae)has low toxicity and is insoluble in blood.In the clinical use of Mabiancao in the treatment of related diseases,the concept of the common clinical dose of Mabiancao is relatively vague.Therefore,abdominal pain,black stool and other gastrointestinal discomfort symptoms are often caused by excessive drug use,which delays the patient's condition,resulting in a poor prognosis.Ischemic bowel disease is a kind of intestinal ischemic disease caused by intestinal wall ischemia,hypoxia damage,and insufficient intestinal blood supply.It mainly occurs in elderly women.The course of the disease is rapid,the clinical manifestations are non-specific,and the main symptoms are abdominal pain and blood in the stool,so it is difficult to diagnose early.In recent years,due to the increasing prevalence of chronic underlying diseases such as diabetes and hypertension,as well as the aging of the population,the incidence of ischemic bowel disease is increasing year by year.At present,there is no relevant clinical literature to report the case of ischemic bowel disease caused by taking Mabiancao.Two similar clinical cases are reported now.According to the patient's history,symptoms and related laboratory tests of disease,diagnostic treatment was given to the patients,including fluid rehydration,anti-inflammatory treatment,and electrolyte balance maintenance.After treatment,the symptoms of abdominal pain and black stool were ameliorated compared with admission,and a good prognosis is obtained,which suggests that gastroenterologists should be vigilant about the possibility of ischemic bowel disease caused by taking Mabiancao,hoping to improve the understanding of the majority of clinicians on this disease and the survival rate of patients.
