Thinking about medication feature of"light and flexible"based on the dosage of classical prescriptions and current prescriptions
Shanghan Zabing Lun(《伤寒杂病论》)summarized the achievements of traditional Chinese medicine before the Eastern Han Dynasty, laid the foundation for TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment, and created the precedent of TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment.Since the advent of Shanghan Zabing Lun,the concept of syndrome has deeply rooted in people's hearts.Doctors start from different syndromes, and use different prescriptions to treat different diseases. The prescriptions and syndromes are corresponding, resulting in precise therapeutic effects. However,in clinical application, different doses of drugs may change the efficacy of the same prescription. The dosages of Chinese medicinal materials,as the fundamental component of a prescription,is closely related to the efficacy and safety of the prescription. The dosage of Chinese medicinal material has always been one of the clinical experiences in TCM passed down from generation to generation, and also plays an important role in TCM scientific research in contemporary times. In recent years, the dosage of Chinese medicinal materials in prescriptions has gradually increased due to various factors, but we cannot ignore the experience of influential medical experts in the past in applying small doses of Chinese medicinal materials. The prescription should be precise, the dosage should be small, and the efficacy should be extraordinary. The purpose of this article is to explore the safety and effectiveness of"light and flexible"medication in clinical practice to attract the attention of clinical TCM practitioners to small dose TCM prescriptions, thereby improving the clinical treatment effect. The combination of Chinese medicinal materials and Western medicine has become commonplace in modern clinical practice, but the damage of drugs to patients'liver and kidney function is can't be ignored. Therefore, the application of small doses of Chinese medicinal materials on a safe and effective basis is of great significance to reduce liver and kidney damage in patients, and reduce unnecessary waste of Chinese medicinal materials to minimize the economic burden on patients. In this article, starting with classical prescriptions and current prescriptions, the rules of dosage patterns of representative physicians in medical history were briefly analyzed to provide new ideas for the dosage of Chinese medicinal materials in contemporary times.
