Treating depression by the Dayu Xingnao acupuncture based on the brain gut axis theory
Depression is a common mental and psychological disease.Besides depression,lack of interest,reduced energy,anxiety,self blame and self sin,gastrointestinal dysfunction is also one of the common physical disorders of depression.In recent years,the brain gut axis has an important impact in a variety of psychiatric diseases or neurodegenerative diseases.Intestinal flora can regulate the brain by directly or indirectly regulating substances such as 5-HT,which is considered to be an important cause of depression.Depression syndrome is the category of depression disease in traditional Chinese medicine,and its incidence is closely related to the heart and brain,intestines,liver and spleen.Clinically,depression is treated with the Dayu Xingnao(达郁醒脑)acupuncture,including abdominal acupuncture,scalp acupuncture,and open Siguan Points(四关).Abdominal acupuncture is based on the principle of distributing Qi(气)at the Shenque(RN8),using the method of Returning Qi to return to the Yuan(元),combining the Kai Siguan and regulating the spleen.The rest is mainly based on opening Siguan Points and activating the governor to regulate the spirit,so that Qi can be regulated,Qi and blood operate normally,Yin(阴)and Yang(阳)are harmonious.
