A study on treating primary premature ejaculation with the Xinfu lotion plus dapoxetine hydrochloride
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of the Xinfu lotion(辛扶洗剂)and dapoxetine hydrochloride on primary premature ejaculation.Methods:A total of 100 patients with primary premature ejaculation in the male outpatient clinics of the Affiliated Hospital of Gansu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the First Hospital of Lanzhou University were divided into the treatment group and the control group by the random number table method,with 50 patients in each.Both groups were treated with dapoxetine hydrochloride orally,and the treatment group was treated with the Xinfu lotion for soaking penis glans and penis body.Both groups were treated for 3 months.The intravaginal ejaculation latency(IELT),premature ejaculation diagnostic tool(PEDT)score,spousal satisfaction and adverse reactions were recorded before and after medication in both groups,and the vibration perception threshold(VPT)-penile sensitivity and serum testosterone of the patients were measured.Results:The total efficiency was 85.4％(41/48)in the treatment group and 76.6％(36/47)in the control group,with statistically significant differences.Compared with before treatment,the IELT,PEDT score,and spousal satisfaction were increased significantly after the treatment(P＜0.05),and VPT values of glans penis at 3,6,9 and 12 points were increased significantly(P＜0.01)in both groups after treatment.After treatment,the amelioration of IELT,PEDT score,spousal satisfaction in the treatment group was more significant than those in the control group(P＜0.05),and VPT values of the glans penis at 3 and 6 points in the treatment group were increased significantly(P＜0.01),while the differences in VPT values of the glans penis at 9 and 12 points between two groups were not statistically significant(P＞0.05).There was no differences in serum testosterone between the two groups and within each group before and after the treatment(P＞0.05).Conclusion:The Xinfu lotion plus dapoxetine hydrochloride is safe and effective on primary premature ejaculation,and is worthy of clinical promotion.
