ZHU Weiping's experience in treating dry eye of Sjogren's syndrome based on the Shaoyin Fuxie theory
Professor ZHU Weiping's experience in treating dry eye of Sjogren's syndrome with Jiawei Biejia San(加味鳖甲 散)plus ear blood-pricking therapy was summarized in this paper.Professor ZHU proposed to treat dry eye of Sjogren's syndrome based on the theory of hidden pathogen arising from Shaoyin(少阴)meridian, holding that deficiency of healthy Qi(气)is the basis of dryness caused by latent evil, hidden pathogen arising from Shaoyin meridian is the internal core pathogenic factor, and then the exogenous evil is felt, and the internal and external factors are combined to cause the disease. In the treatment,we often pay attention to removing blood stasis and dredging collaterals on the basis of Jiawei Biejia San for purging pathogenic factors and restoring Yin(阴),and strengthening the body resistance and nourishing Yin.Combined with blood-pricking therapy,we treat dry eye caused by Sjogren's syndrome, and think that removing one point of evil and slowing down one point of healthy Qi has obvious clinical effects. This paper briefly introduces the theory of hidden pathogen arising from Shaoyin meridian, taking the etiology and pathogenesis of dry eye of Sjogren's syndrome as the breakthrough point, and combining the therapeutic advantages of pricking collaterals and bloodletting therapy, introduces Professor ZHU Weiping's theory and clinical experience in treating dry eye of Sjogren's syndrome, and gives one empirical case,in order to provide reference for clinical treatment of dry eye of Sjogren's syndrome.
