Present situation and trend analysis of treating knee osteoarthritis by acupuncture and moxibustion in recent 10 years based on core journals
Objective:To analyze the research status of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis in recent 10 years, and explore its cooperation network, research hotspots and research frontiers. Methods:The core periodical literature of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis from 2013 to 2022 was searched in CNKI,Wanfang database and VIP database, and the plagiarism checking, screening, format conversion and export were performed by NoteExpress 3.7.0 software, and the results were carried out by Excel 2019.Citespace 6.1.6 was used to analyze the co-occurrence of authors and institutions of the included literature.Cluster analysis and emergent analysis of key words were carried out to draw a visual knowledge map. Results:A total of 846 studies were finally included, with an average annual publication volume of 84.6,and the annual publication volume was relatively stable. There were multiple authors and institutional cooperation groups, and the internal connections of each team were relatively close, but there were few connections between teams, and the core author group has not yet formed. The publishing institutions were mainly colleges and universities, among which the colleges of traditional Chinese medicine were in a dominant position, mainly including Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,etc..Warm acupuncture and electroacupuncture were the most widely used form of treatment.Inflammatory factors, exercise therapy and pain were the new trends in current research, and the research hotspots presented multiple characteristics. The evaluation indicators for the efficacy of acupuncture and moxibustion on KOA were more scientific and objective. Conclusion:Although the research field of acupuncture and moxibustion on KOA has achieved certain development, the research results are relatively small, and the cross-institutional cooperation and clinical operation standards and scientific research capabilities of grass-roots personnel need to be further strengthened. The research form is relatively single, mainly focusing on randomized control trial and basic research, and the mechanism for the transformation of results between different types of research is still immature.
