Clinical evaluation of moxibustion promoting wound healing based on Meta-analysis
Objective:To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy of moxibustion in promoting wound healing. Methods:Published literatures in the Cochrane Library,PubMed,EMBase,CNKI,Wanfang and VIP databases were searched, and the search time was set from the establishment of the databases to November 2022.Related Chinese search terms were"moxibus-tion""moxibustion method""wound healing""wound repair"and"randomized controlled trial",and English search terms were"moxi-bustion",""wound healing","wound repair"and"RCT".Literature retrieval, screening and data extraction were conducted independently by two evaluators, and the quality and risk of bias of relevant literatures were evaluated.Data statistics and analysis were carried out using RevMan 5.4.Results:Finally,13 relevant literatures were included, with a total of 841 subjects. The results showed that compared with conventional treatment, moxibustion intervention could improve the total effective rate of wound healing[RR=1.61,95%CI(1.35,1.92),P<0.000 01]and reduce the wound pain score[MD=-0.82,95%CI(-1.58,-0.07),P<0.000 01],improve wound secretions[MD=-0.21,95%CI(-0.34,-0.08),P<0.05],promote the growth of wound granulation tissue[RR=-0.35,95%CI(-0.52,-0.18),P<0.000 1],and reduce the degree of wound swelling[MD=-0.46,95%CI(-0.63,-0.30),P<0.000 01],effectively shorten the wound healing time[MD=-4.43,95%CI(-4.85,-4.02),P<0.000 01],and accelerate the process of wound healing. Conclusion:Moxibustion has certain clinical efficacy in promoting wound healing, but high-quality RCTs original study data are needed in this Meta-analysis to further support the effectiveness and safety of moxibustion in promoting wound healing.
