Research progress of network pharmacology in Chinese herbal compounds
The material basis research of Chinese herbal compounds(CHC)has always been a key field of TCM modernization research,and the effectiveness and safety of Chinese herbal compounds have always been the focuses of modern TCM research and attention.The complex components of Chinese herbal compounds are characterized by"overall regulation and interaction",and there are many interfering factors affecting the efficacy of herbs,which increase the difficulty in the study of its effectiveness,safety and mechanism of action.In recent years,the discipline of network pharmacology has emerged and developed rapidly,which has devel-oped a new research method for drug discovery of multi-target complex diseases based on multi-component,multi-target,multi-pathway and multi-function research strategies by breaking the constraints of traditional target thinking.It has the characteristics of"multidisciplinary integration,overall analysis,correlation,compound regulation"to a certain extent,which is in line with Chinese medicine compounds,and has been widely used in Chinese medicine research in recent years.Network pharmacology takes"network as the core,and studies CHC overall through biological network construction,network visualization,and biological network analysis",which breaks the stagnant situation of CHC research and provides a new way for its modern research.By introducing the core ideas and specific methods of network pharmacology research,this paper summarizes the current research results of network pharmacology of CHC,analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of applying network pharmacology to study CHC in order to provide new ideas and ways for further study of CHC,and provide theoretical basis and scientific guidance for clinical application of CHC.It also provides support for the effectiveness and safety of expanding its application range.
