Discussion on the academic thought and clinical practice of regulating Qi and curing accumulation
In recent years, the incidence and detection rate of thyroid nodules, breast nodules, lung nodules, etc.have been increasing.Western medicine does not have any effective treatment for the time being, and most of them are observed regularly, and only intervene when there is progression or surgical indications.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)emphasizes the preventive treatment of disease and advocates symptomatic treatment when nodules are just found.According to TCM,nodular diseases such as thyroid nodules, breast nodules, lung nodules, etc.can be classified into the categories of"abdominal mass, accumulation syndrome",and combining with the clinical experience nowadays, most of these nodular diseases can be classified into tumour-like diseases. So far,TCM has mostly treated tumors by clearing heat and detoxification, resolving phlegm and removing dampness, supplementing Qi(气)and nourishing Yin(阴),and it is relatively rare to treat tumors from the aspect of dredging and regulating Qi.ZHANG Zhen,a contemporary master of TCM,has been rooted in the clinical practice and theoretical research of TCM for a long time. After continuous practice,he established the Shutiao(疏调)school and innovatively proposed the academic idea of"one body, two wings, and regulating Qi".He believes that the formation of tumor diseases are all due to the imbalance of Qi mechanism. In terms of treatment,he advocates that the main treatment is to soothe liver Qi and consider the treatment of spleen and kidney.Dr GUO Lihua, the chief physician who is the outstanding successor of Shutiao school, believes that the initial pathogenesis of accumulation syndrome is mostly the loss of the function of liver and the imbalance of Qi.In the differentiation and treatment of accumulated diseases, the method of soothing and regulating Qi machine can be used to soothe the liver and spleen, and regulate Qi machine, which is effective in clinical practice. The purpose of this paper is to explore the thought of dredging and regulating Qi,explore its guiding significance in the treatment of accumulation syndromes, and provide new ideas for clinical practice.
