An analysis of curative effect of acupuncture with massage on cervical spondylotic vertebral arteriopathy
Objective:To study the effects of acupuncture with massage on cervical spine function and symptoms in patients with cervical spondylotic vertebral arteriopathy(CSA).Methods:A total of 80 patients with CSA admitted to the hospital from February 2021 to February 2023 were selected and divided into the combined group(40 cases)and acupuncture group(40 cases)by systematic randomization method. The acupuncture group was treated by acupuncture, while the combined group was treated by acupuncture and massage. The two groups were treated for 20 days, and the efficacy,TCM syndrome score, cervical spine function, the level of vertebral artery hemodynamics indexes and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate in the combined group was higher than the acupuncture group(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no significant difference in TCM syndrome scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After 20 days of treatment, the scores of TCM syndromes in both groups were lower than before treatment, and those in the combined group were lower than the acupuncture group(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant differences in cervical spine function scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After 20 days of treatment, the cervical spine function scores in both groups were significantly ameliorated, and the amelioration range in the combined group was better than the acupuncture group(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no significant differences in the levels of various vertebral artery hemodynamics indexes between the two groups(P>0.05).After 20 days of treatment, the levels of vertebral arterial hemodynamics indexes in both groups were ameliorated compared with those before treatment, and the amelioration degree in the combined group was better than the acupuncture group(P<0.05).During the treatment, there was 1 case of infection,1 case of skin scald and 1 case of acute soft tissue injury in the combined group, the total incidence was 7.50%(3/40).In the acupuncture group, there was 1 case of infection and 1 case of acupuncture dizziness, with a total incidence of 5.00%(2/40)(x2=0.213,P=0.644).Conclusion:Acupuncture with moxibustion can significantly improve the curative effect on CSA,and can ameliorate symptoms, cervical spine function and related arterial hemodynamics indexes.
