Discussion on the treatment of insomnia from gallbladder based on the theory of"Zangfu organs are interrelated"
Insomnia is a common type of sleep disorder,and most people are troubled by it.In recent years,with the development of society,affected by the accelerated pace of life,as well as learning or work pressure,the incidence of insomsnia has been on the rise,seriously affecting people's daily life and physical and mental health.Currently,insomnia is the clinical and social focus on the topic.Although Western sedative hypnotics are effective quickly,they are prone to adverse reactions and should not be taken for a long time.Treating insomnia in traditional Chinese medicine has the advantages of small adverse reactions,good long-term effects and no drug resistance,and can avoid adverse reactions such as drug dependence caused by long-term use of western medicines.Traditional Chinese medicine categorizes insomnia as Bu Mei(不寐),which is located in the heart and is closely related to the liver,spleen,and kidney."The heart and the gallbladder are connected"is one of the contents of the theory of Zangfu organs are interrelated,meaning that the heart and gallbladder are physiologically functional compatible,pathologically related,and connected to each other in meridians,and jointly govern the life activities of the human body.The clinical treatment of insomnia is mostly based on the theories of treating heart diseases from gallbladder,and treating diseases from the heart and gallbladder simultaneously.This article based on the theory of Zangfu organs are interrelated,elaborates on the connotation of the theory of"the heart and the gallbladder are connected"from the perspectives of physiology,pathology,five elements,meridians and collaterals.According to the etiology and pathogenesis of insomnia,this paper discusses the treatment of insomnia from the gallbladder,in order to further enrich the theoretical research on traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of insomnia to provide reference for clinical practice.
