A study on the mechanism of the Cangfu Daotan decoction in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome
Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)is an endocrine metabolic disease that integrates reproductive, metabolic and psychological disorders. The clinical manifestations include high androgen levels, persistent anovulation, polycystic ovarian changes,obesity,etc..In the long term,it is susceptible to complications such as disorders of glucose and lipid metabolism, hyperinsulinemia, endometrial cancer and cardiovascular diseases,etc..The incidence of PCOS tends to be younger and is on the rise year by year. The pathogenesis of PCOS is complex, the course of the disease is long, and it is easy to repeat and difficult to cure, which seriously affects the physical and mental health and quality of life. Therefore, early diagnosis and appropriate intervention are the core links to meliorate the clinical symptoms, cut off the course of the disease, and reverse the complications of PCOS patients.Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the main athogenesis of the disease is internal exuberance of phlegm-damp,so the main treatment is to dry dampness and resolve phlegm. The Cangfu Daotan decoction(苍附导痰汤),a classic gynecological prescription for dispelling dampness and resolving phlegm, has the advantages of multi-target,multi-pathway and multi-component.It treats the disease by regulating hormone levels, improving insulin resistance, promoting lipid metabolism,etc..It has significant therapeutic efficacy in clinical practice, and has been widely used in clinical practice because of its remarkable efficacy in ameliorating clinical symptoms, and improving ovulation rate and pregnancy rate of PCOS patients. Therefore, this article systematically summarizes and organizes the mechanism of action of the Cangfu Daotan decoction in the treatment of PCOS,starting from the composition of the formula, pharmacological effects and the pathogenesis of PCOS,with a view to providing directions and ideas for the subsequent researchers to understand the relevant mechanisms as a whole, and providing a theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of PCOS in the clinic.
