A study on the medication rule of harmonizing Yang method in Linzheng Zhinan Yi'an
Objective:To study the medication rules and prescription characteristics of harmonizing Yang(阳)method related medical records in Linzheng Zhinan Yi'an(《临证指南医案》)by data mining method.Methods:The relevant medical records of harmonizing Yang method in Linzheng Zhinan Yi'an were sorted out to establish the database of disease types,syndrome types and medicines.The characteristics of relevant data were studied by statistical analysis methods such as data perspective,association rule analysis,cluster analysis,etc.Results:A total of 45 prescriptions were included,involving 79 Chinese medicines,24 diseases and 16 TCM syndrome types.The top 5 most frequently used medicines were Dihuang(Radix Rehmanniae),Ejiao(Equus Asinus),Baishao(Paeonia lactiflora),Fushen(Poria cum Radix Pini)and Maidong(Radix ophiopogon).According to the statistics of medicinal flavour,the most used medicinal taste was sweet,and the medicines used were mainly absorbed by the liver meridian,kidney meridian,heart meridian and lung meridian.The top five diseases with high frequency treated with high-frequency medicines were hematemesis disease,liver wind disease,postpartum disease,uterine bleeding disease,and Sanxiao(三消)disease.The top five syndrome types with high frequency treated with high-frequency medicines were the Yin(阴)deficiency and wind movement syndrome,the Yin deficiency and Yang(阳)hyperactivity syndrome,the liver wind internal movement syndrome,the Yin deficiency and internal heat syndrome,and the liver Yin deficiency syndrome.Two core medicines pairs were obtained by association rule analysis:Baishao-Huanglian(Rhizoma Coptidis),Shengdihuang-Maidong.Two core medicines pairs were obtained by the cluster analysis,group C1:Huanglian,Baishao;Group C2:Maidong,Shengdihuang,Ejiao.Conclusion:The harmonizing Yang method in Linzheng Zhinan Yi'an mainly regulates the abnormal changes of Yangqi(阳气)in the body through nourishing Yin medicines,so as to treat diseases of Yin(阴)and Yang disharmony.The treatment method of nourishing Yin and Yang runs through the whole treatment of diseases,which is the core content of harmonizing Yang method.
