A study on the medication rules of Chinese medicine patent compounds in the treatment of COVID-19
Objective:The data mining method was used to explore the medication rule of Chinese medicine patent compounds in the treatment of corona virus disease 2019(COVID-19).Methods:Through the website of China National Intellectual Property Administration,Chinese medicines patent compounds for treating COVID-19 were searched to establish a database of Chinese medicine patent compounds for the treatment of COVID-19 by WPS office software.The names of Chinese medicines in the patent compounds were standardized according to Chinese Herbal Medicine and Chinese Pharmacopoeia,and their efficacy classification,medication frequency,medicinal property,medicinal tastes,and tropism meridian were analyzed.The association rules were analyzed by SPSS Modeler 18.0 software,and the clustering analysis was carried out by SPSS Statistics 26.0 software.Results:Eighty-six Chinese medicine patent compounds for treating COVID-19 were obtained finally,containing 198 Chinese medicines.The medicines used not less than 10 times included Gancao(Radix Glycyrrhizae),Jinyinhua(Flos Lonicerae Japonicae),Lianqiao(Fructus Forsythiae),Fuling(Poria),Jiegeng(Radix Platycodonis),etc.According to efficacy,the included Chinese medicines were mainly classified as tonifying medicines,exterior-relieving medicines,and heat-clearing medicines.The medicinal properties of them were mainly cold and warm,the medicinal tastes were mostly sweet,bitter and pungency,and their active ingredients were mostly absorbed by lung meridian,spleen meridian and stomach meridian.The association rule analysis showed that Jiegeng-Gancao,Huangqin(Radix Scutellariae)-Banxia(Rhizoma Pinelliae)-Chaihu(Radix Bupleuri),and Huangqin-Banxia-Gancao had the strongest correlation.Six clustering prescriptions were obtained by cluster analysis,including classic prescriptions such as the Xiaochaihu decoction(小柴胡汤),the Maxing Shigan decoction(麻杏石甘汤),Yupingfeng San(玉屏风散),and Yinqiao San(银翘散).Conclusion:The medication rule of Chinese medicine patent compounds in the treatment of COVID-19 is consistent with its theoretical basis,which can provide new ideas and theoretical support for the follow-up research and development of new drugs.
