A review on the experiment of TCM in the treatment of slow transit constipation
Slow transit constipation is a common clinical disease,but the pathogenesis has not yet been fully expounded,the characteristics such as long duration,easy to relapse deeply disturbed patients.Although Western medicine is effective in the clinical treatment of this disease,the patients'body has no organic damage,and long-term medication is easy to produce adverse reactions and drug resistance.As a treasure of our country,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)treats constipation according to its etiology and pathogenesis.Not only single Chinese medicine and Chinese medicine compound,but also acupuncture,massage,moxibustion and other TCM characteristic therapies have made remarkable progress in the treatment of slow transit constipation.With the deepening of research,many experimental studies on its therapeutic mechanism have been reported in recent years.With TCM,slow transit constipation and experimental research as the main keywords,this paper searched the experimental research on the treatment of slow transit constipation in TCM in the past five years through CNKI,Wanfang medical network and SinoMed databases,and systematically summarized and analyzed the pathogenesis of slow transit constipation.The results showed that various TCM therapies could regulate the intestinal nervous system and improve the intestinal smooth muscle function by regulating the expression of brain intestinal peptides,intestinal flora,Cajal cells,aquaporins and mucins,thereby promoting intestinal fluid secretion and intestinal peristalsis,and restoring defecation function of patients.TCM shows multi-target,multi-pathway and other action mechanisms in the treatment of slow transit constipation,which is exactly the advantage of TCM.It is expected to provide new ideas for revealing the pathogenesis of slow transit constipation,and provide a solid scientific basis for the clinical treatment.
