Comparation of Mongolian Word Co-occurrence Network and Syntactic Network
In this paper,we constructed Mongolian word co-occurrence network and syntactic de-pendency network, which based on"The Civil Code of the People's Republic of China"(Mongolian version). On this basis,we compared the statistical parameters of the two networks, including the number of nodes, the number of sides, the average degree, the average path length,density,clus-tering coefficient, etc. The results show that:(1)The word co-occurrence network will cause the loss of some information in the sentence;(2)In the word co-occurrence network, the relationship between words is linear, and in the syntactic dependency network, the relationship between words is restricted by dependency grammar,so there are significant differences in the parameters of the two networks;(3)Mongolian,as a typical agglutinative language, has a clustering coefficient smaller than that of isolated and inflected languages, and the average path length is greater than that of iso-lated and inflected languages, which verifies the research conclusions of previous scholars. In addi-tion,Mongolian shares the same attributes nameed small-world,scale-free and relevance features. This study expands the field of quantitative research and studies of the Mongolian language and pro-motes the development of minority language research.
