Towards a New Organic Solidarity:The Integrative Effects of Ethnic Triadic Interactions in the Tourism Context
The strategic practice of promoting exchange, communication, and integration among different ethnic groups faces challenges such as limited economic and cultural exchanges, insufficient inter-ethnic communications, and limited integration into the development of ethnic groups. The high-quality development of the tourism industry is expected to be an effective way to address these challenges and achieve comprehensive integration of different ethnic groups in terms of space, culture, economy, society, and psychology.Referring to the theory of organic solidarity, this study analyzes the coupling relationship between tourism and the"three interactions"exchange, communication and integration)among ethnic groups from economic, cultural, social, and psychological dimensions based on the spatial integration brought by tourism flows. The research findings reveal that tourism,as a modern force,is an important means for ethnic regions to seek new development on the basis of their social structure, historical interactions, and cultural traditions. In ethnic tourism destinations, both mechanical solidarity and organic solidarity coexist, which results the formation of new organic solidarity, and collectively influences the formation of ethnic integration mechanisms and patterns.Moving towards a new form of organic solidarity means achieving circular interactions among individuals, ethnic groups, multiple ethnic groups, and the nation in the tourism context, and strengthening multidimensional integration of the economy, culture, society, and psychology based on tourism development to achieve a new balance of exchange, communication, and integration among different ethnic groups. This study provides an analytical framework for promoting the"three interactions"among ethnic groups through tourism, aiming to inject new connotations into the"three interactions"among various ethnic groups.
