The Civilization Connotation of Marx's Community Thought
Under the perspective of historical materialism, both"community"and"civilization"are products of human practice.Human practice in different historical periods has endowed specific forms and connotations of community and civilization, thus both symbiosis and homoorganicity exist between community and civilization.Marx's thought of community takes the pursuit of human liberation as its fundamental goal, and its understanding of capitalist"community-civilization"adheres to a dialectical thinking from acceptance, negation to abandonment. The capitalist"community civilization"based on capitalist production practice has a dual characteristic of illusion and hypocrisy.Only through abandoning the capitalist"community-civilization"can we truly achieve human freedom and comprehensive development.Marx's concept of community has extremely important theoretical and practical value in guiding us to create modern civilization of the Chinese nation, develop new forms of human civilization, build a community with a shared future for mankind, promote exchanges and mutual learning among different civilizations, and reshape human subjectivity in the"community-civilization".
