Addressing Population Aging through Elderly Friendly Adaptation:Infrastructure and Socio-Cultural Perspectives
As China's population continues to age,there is an urgent need to construct an elderly friendly society.This article examines the current situation of aging in China across dimensions such as housing,transportation,healthcare,and internet infrastructure,and discusses how to guide the transformation of physical infrastructure through social and cultural soft environments,so as to promote the development of a distinctive Chinese elderly friendly culture and the construction of a unique Chinese elderly friendly society.There should be active promotion of reforms in the elderly friendly service system,establishment of supervision and evaluation mechanisms,optimization of resource allocation and technical support,acceleration of elderly friendly digital services,comprehensive enhancement of the quality of life for the elderly,and promotion of the harmonious development of an aging society.
