Recognition of Concept of Ethnic Integration and Theoretical Essence by Marxism Classical Writers
"Ethnic integration"is a concept proposed by the classical Marxist writers based on describing and analyzing the phenomenon of aggregation and natural assimilation and its process among different ethnic groups in human society,as well as solving the problems of ethnic isolation, seclusion and remaining conservative, isolation and estrangement caused by natural factors, class oppression and other conditions. They use this concept and leave a large number of historical penetrating discussions on the issue of ethnic integration, the ideas contained in which constitute a complete and systematic theory,i.e.,the theory of ethnic integration, which contains the following four main points:Firstly,it emphasizes that ethnic integration is a phenomenon of historical progress, which reflects the inevitable trend of the evolution of human community;secondly,it is an important task for proletarian political parties and socialist countries to actively create conditions for the integration of ethnic groups into higher ethnic entities.Thirdly,Marxism opposes not only all forms of nationalism and the isolation of all ethnic groups, but also opposes ethnic forced assimilation;Fourthly, the realization of people-to-people bond under the guidance of the communist ideal is the key to the integration of all ethnic groups in the proletarian revolution and the construction of a socialist country into an ideal community and the continuous convergence of the nation. The theory of ethnic integration of classical writers provides the basic position, principle and thinking way for younger generations to understand the phenomenon of ethnic communication and solve the related problems, rather than a ready-made answer. The correct understanding of the theoretical essence has important theoretical and practical significance to the current work of deepening the community sense of the Chinese nation.
