Study on the Environmental Damage Cost of Domestic Waste Incineration in China
Environmental damage cost analysis can measure the impact of pollution caused by human activities on the final subject from an endpoint perspective. At present, the environmental damage cost caused by municipal solid waste incineration(MSWI)in China is still unclear.Based on the LIME-3 model, the environmental damage cost caused by MSWI in China was studied, including four end-point impact categories of primary productivity(NPP),social assets(SA),biodiversity(BIO)and human health(HH).The Spatial-tem-poral distribution and influencing factors were analyzed. The results show that from 2004 to 2019,the environmental damage cost of MSWI in China was 13.3 billion,5.4 billion,2.3 billion and 500 million US dollars respectively,SA(61%)>HH(25%)>BIO(11%)>NPP(3%).East China has the largest proportion and the growth trend in Southwest and Middle China were most obvious. These results can provide support from the overall Chinese MSW management system and the formulation of specific waste management policies in specific regions.
