Research on the Construction of Emergency Language Services System of Guizhou Province
Emergency language services are the language services and rescue activities in sudden natural disasters or public crises,such as making multilingual disaster prevention guidelines,offering multilingual medical assistance,etc.Emergency language services are the basis for implementing medical assistance,releasing disaster/crisis information,guiding public opinion,and comforting the public in sudden natural disasters and public crises.Affecting the efficiency of national emergency management,emergency language services are an essential constituent of the national emergency management system.Drawing on the well-fledged experience of emergency lan-guage service system construction in the United States and Japan and considering the practical reality of Guizhou Province,this paper explores the ways to construct the emergency language services system of Guizhou Province.
