The Old Territory Undertaking the New Mission:Analysis of the Reasons for Zunyi's Transfer to Guizhou Province from the Perspective of National Identity Construction
The change of Zunyi to Guizhou has had a significant positive impact on Zunyi and even Guizhou's history.Behind this change of jurisdiction is the historical relay of its continuous enhancement of national identity,from"opening up"as a"southwestern border area"to"becoming a national banner"and then to"transforming into a Han official's prestige".Various factors such as politics,econ-omy,and location were certainly the reasons for its change of jurisdiction,but fundamentally it should be the Zunyi region,which became the"old frontier"of the dynasty,undertaking a new mission of"educating"and opening up new Miao areas.Exploring the historical ro-ots of Zunyi's transfer to Guizhou and gaining a deep understanding of the underlying reasons for Zunyi's transfer to Guizhou is of great practical significance for strengthening national identity.
