The impact of Leihuo moxibustion nursing technique on patients with lumbar disc herniation
Objective To explore the role of Leifhuo Moxibustion warm-needling therapy in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation.Methods Sixty patients with lumbar disc herniation admitted to our hospital from January 2023 to August 2024 were randomly divided into a control group(n=30)and an observation group(n=30)using the random number generation method in SPSS 27.0 software.The control group received Zhuang medicine hot compress therapy,while the observation group received Leifuhuo moxibustion warm-needling therapy in addition to the control group's treatment.Both groups were treated for 14 days according to the course of treatment.The changes in Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA)score,visual analog scale(VAS)score,and World Health Organization quality of life-BREF(WHOQOL-BREF)scores across various dimensions before and after treatment were statistically analyzed.Patient satisfaction with care and clinical symptom efficacy evaluations were also analyzed.Results After treatment,the observation group showed a significant increase in JOA scores(P<0.01)and a decrease in VAS scores(P<0.01).The WHOQOL-BREF scores were significantly better in the observation group compared to the control group(P<0.01).Patient satisfaction with care and clinical symptom efficacy evaluations were higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).No adverse reactions were observed in any of the patients after treatment.Conclusion Leifuhuo moxibustion warm-needling therapy can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients with lumbar disc herniation.The treatment of lumbar disc herniation with this therapy promotes the improvement of symptoms and signs,alleviates pain,and enhances the patients'quality of life.
