Effects of Qianlieqing Granule on Chronic Abacterial Prostatitis in Rats
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effects of Qianlieqing Granule(QG) on rat models of chronic abacterial prostatitis(CAP). Methods The rat models of CAP were established by injection of Xiaozhiling. The rats weredivided into six groups: model group, blank control group, high-, moderate- and low-dosage QG groups and Qianlietai Capsule(QC) group. The rats were given gastric gavage of corresponding drugs for 45 days according to the experimental design. After treatment, white blood cell(WBC) count in whole blood and prostatic fluid, and lecithin corpuscle density in prostatic fluid were examined. Moreover, the pathological changes of prostate tissues were observed. Results The number of WBC in prostatic fluid and prostatic index of QG groups were significantly lower than those in the model group(p < 0.05 or P < 0.01). Moderate- and high-dosage QG significantly lowered the number of WBC in whole blood, increased the density of lecithin corpuscle, and relieved the pathological changes of rat prostatic tissues (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). Conclusion QG has significant therapeutic effects on CAP in rat models.
