Professional self-concept,job embeddedness and job burnout of anesthesia nurses in tertiary public hospitals in Mianyang
Objective To investigate the current situation of professional self-concept,job embeddedness and job burnout of anesthesia nurses in tertiary public hospitals,and to analyze the mediating role of job embeddedness between professional self-concept and job burnout.Methods From March to April 2022,308 anesthesia nurses from 7 tertiary public hospitals in Mianyang were selected by convenience sampling method.General information questionnaire,professional self-concept scale,job embeddedness scale and job burnout scale were used to collect data,and the data were analyzed.Results The scores of professional self-concept,job embeddedness and job burnout of nurses in anesthesia department of tertiary public hospitals in Mianyang were(194.35±26.69),(40.72±10.27)and(68.86±12.34)points,respectively.There were statistically significant differences in the scores of professional self-concept,job embeddedness and job burnout among nurses in anesthesiology department with different characteristics of age,marital status,educational background,length of service,professional title,labor contract,income level and health status(all P<0.05).The total score of professional self-concept of nurses in the anesthesia department of tertiary general hospitals was negatively correlated with the total score of job burnout(P<0.05),and positively correlated with the total score of job embeddedness.The total score of job embeddedness was negatively correlated with the total score of job burnout(P<0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that job embeddedness,professional self-concept,marital status and length of service in anesthesia department were the main influencing factors of job burnout of nurses in anesthesia department(all P<0.05),which could explain 23.7%of the total variation.Conclusions The job burnout level of nurses in anesthesiology department of tertiary general hospitals is high,which is related to professional self-concept and job embeddedness.Nursing managers should pay attention to the cultivation of nurses'professional emotion and improve their job embeddedness,so as to reduce job burnout and promote the healthy development of nursing human resources.
