Direct determination of blood lead by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry
Objective To establish a graphite furnace atomic absorption method suitable for detecting blood lead concentration in lead workers. Methods According to the industrial standard of the People's Republic of China, the blood lead was determined by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry, and the influence of instrument conditions, sampling amount and matrix modifier dihydrogen phosphate on the determination results was studied. Results After 0.1 mL whole blood was acidified by 0.9 mL 5%nitric acid, the solution concentration was determined by 50 g/L dihydrogen phosphate as matrix modifier. The standard curve was linear in the range of 0-50 μg/L,r=0.999 6.The relative standard deviation of the samples ranged from 1.70%to 5.75%,and the detection limit of the method was 2.0 μg/L,which was satisfactory compared with the standard method. Conclusion The method has good sensitivity and accuracy, and can be used for the determination of blood lead in large quantities of lead workers.
