Analysis on the current situation and influencing factors of emotional intelligence of military medical sergeant cadets
Objective To investigate the current status of emotional intelligence among military health officer cadets and analyze its influencing factors.Methods A total of 226 health officer cadets who participated in preservice training at the Air Force Military Medical University from March to May 2021 and from May to July 2022 were selected as the survey subjects.General situation questionnaires,emotional intelligence scales,and interpersonal response indicators were used for the survey.The data were analyzed.Results The average emotional intelligence score of health officer cadets was(64.62±9.19)points,and the average score of each item was(4.03±0.57)points.The scores of each dimension from high to low were self-emotional monitoring[(16.96±2.51)points],emotional application[(16.23±2.90)points],emotional regulation[(15.90±3.29)points],recognizing other people's emotions[(15.52±3.04)points],participating in extracurricular activities,professional liking,and empathy were influencing factors of emotional intelligence level of health officer cadets(all P<0.01).Conclusions The emotional intelligence of military health officer cadets is at a medium-high level,and the vocational education of health officers can start with targeted training plans for participation in extracurricular activities,professional interest,and empathy ability,in order to improve the emotional intelligence level of health officers.
