Systematic evaluation of the psychological status of new recruits in high-attitude training in China based on SCL-90
Objective:Based on the results of the symptom checklist-90(SCL-90),to understand the overall mental health status and development trends of new recruits in high-altitude training in China,and provide reference for future investigations and research on SCL-90 mental health assessment of military officers and soldiers.Methods Review Manager 5.3 software was used to systematically evaluate the relevant investigation and research on SCL-90 of Chinese plateau(Xizang)recruits since the establishment of CNKI,VIP,Wanfang and other databases.Result A total of 12 articles were included,with 7 640 new recruits for high-altitude training.Meta-analysis results showed that among the combined effect sizes of SCL-90 factors of new recruits in high-altitude training,only somatization was positive with no statistically significant difference[d(95%CI)=0.01(-0.12-0.13),P<0.05],and the other 8 items were all negative,the combined effects of obsessive-compulsive factor[d(95%CI)=-0.15(-0.26--0.03),P<0.05],interpersonal sensitivity factor[d(95%CI)=-0.19(-0.35--0.03),P<0.05],anxiety factor[d(95%CI)=-0.11(-0.22--0.01),P<0.05],and psychiatric factor[d(95%CI)=-0.17(-0.30--0.05),P<0.01]were significantly lower than the new recruit norm,but the effect level was lower.Conclusion Based on the results of SCL-90,the overall mental health status of new recruits in high-altitude training is higher than that of the 2000 version of the Chinese new recruits norm,with significant differences in compulsive factors,interpersonal sensitivity factors,anxiety factors,and psychiatric factors.
