Meta analysis of influencing factors of AIDS knowledge, attitude and practice among college students in China
Objective To understand the influencing factors of AIDS knowledge, attitude and practice among college students in China.Method Nine databases including CNKI,SinoMed,CINAHL,WanFang,VIP,PubMed,Embase,Cochrane Library, and Web of Science were used as literature search sources to retrieve all studies conducted since the establishment of the database.Information was extracted from the included literature and quality was evaluated.Meta analysis was performed using Stata 14.0 software. Results A total of 13 articles were included.Meta analysis showed that in terms of knowledge,AIDS training(OR=2.38,95%CI:1.86-3.05),professional type(OR=0.45,95%CI:0.27-0.72)and sexual orientation(OR=0.78,95%CI:0.69-0.88)were the influencing factors. In terms of beliefs and attitudes,age(OR=0.887,95%CI:0.856-0.918)and AIDS knowledge(OR=1.273,95%CI:1.079-1.502)were the influencing factors. In terms of behavior,gender(OR=0.555,95%CI:0.425-0.724),age(OR=1.260,95%CI:1.216-0.306),grade(OR=1.479,95%CI:1.196-1.829),monthly consumption>1 500 yuan(OR=1.448,95%CI:1.155-1.814),AIDS knowledge(OR=1.146,95%CI:1.003-1.310)and alcohol consumption(OR=1.183,95%CI:1.069-1.309)were the influencing factors. Conclusion The risk factors of AIDS awareness are that college students in China have not experienced AIDS training,non-medical majors and sexual minorities. The risk factors of correct beliefs/attitudes are that they are 20-29 years old and do not know AIDS knowledge.Behaviors are affected by gender, age, grade, monthly consumption,AIDS knowledge and whether they drink alcohol.Future educators should consider these factors more in order to develop more targeted prevention strategies.
