Analysis on current situation and influencing factors of electronic health literacy of non-medical college students in Wuhan City
Objective To understand the current situation and influencing factors of electronic health literacy of non-medical college students in Wuhan City.Methods Using the convenient sampling,an online questionnaire survey was conducted on 2 515 non-medical college students in Wuhan City by the self-prepared electronic health literacy questionnaire from December 2021 to January 2022,to describe the current situation of their electronic health literacy and explore the major influencing factors.Results Totally 2 298 valid questionnaires were collected.The total score of electronic health literacy of non-medical college students in Wuhan City was(69.77±10.45)points,and the qualified rate of electronic health literacy was 7.91%.The average score was(3.03±0.71)points for electronic health information attitude,(3.25±0.75)points for ability to access electronic health information,(3.40±0.68)points for ability to judge electronic health information,and(3.1 1±0.69)points for ability to apply electronic health information.The average score of attitude to electronic health information dimension was the lowest.The univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in the total scores of electronic health literacy among students in different characteristics:place of origin,whether he/she is an only child,age,professional direction,daily mobile phones use hours,monthly family income,health self-assessment,the first person to ask when the body was unwell(all P<0.05).Conclusions The electronic health literacy of non-medical college students in Wuhan City is relatively low,and is influenced mainly by professional direction,daily mobile phones use hours,health self-assessment,and the first person to ask when the body was unwell.It is necessary to take effective targeted intervention measures to change their attitude towards electronic health information,and improve their practical application ability of online health information,so as to improve the electronic health literacy of non-medical college students.
