Current situation and correlation of psychological contract and occupational deviant behavior of resident physician in public hospitals
Objective To understand the current level of psychological contracts and occupational deviant behaviors among resident physicians in two tertiary comprehensive hospitals in Yancheng City,and explore the correlation between psychological contracts and occupational deviant behaviors,providing new ideas for hospital managers to develop strategies to correct occupational deviant behaviors.Methods The convenient sampling method was used to select resident physicians from two tertiary general hospitals in Yancheng City from March to May 2023.The questionnaire investigation was conducted by using general information questionnaire,psychological contract scale and workplace deviant behavior scale,and the data were statistically analyzed.Results The psychological contract score of 223 resident physicians in public hospitals was(135.64±22.44)points,and the occupational deviant behavior score was(64.78±13.53)points.The score of psychological contract and scores in all dimensions were negatively correlated with the score of occupational deviant behavior and scores in all dimensions(all P<0.01).The department,length of service and psychological contract were the main influencing factors of occupational deviant behavior among resident physicians in public hospitals(all P<0.05).Conclusion The hospital managers need to focus on the occupational deviant behavior of resident physicians,which can be regulated through psychological contracts to enhance their professional beliefs and identification.
