Analysis on correlation between job stress and job burnout among nurses in a grade-A tertiary hospital in Wuhu City
Objective To analyze the current status of stressors and burnout in nurses in a grade-A tertiary hospital in Wuhu City, and explore the correlation between them.Method From February to April 2023,377 nurses in a grade-A tertiary hospital in Wuhu City were investigated with a general information questionnaire, stressor scale and burnout scale, and the data was analyzed. Results The total stress source of 337 nurses was(2.20±0.43)points,the total average score of job burnout was(4.36±1.24)points,the stressors of nurses were positively correlated with job burnout(r=0.409,P<0.01).After controlling for other factors, stressors were positively correlated with burnout(P<0.05),and the number of children, professional title, average monthly night shift and average monthly income had impact on the burnout level of nurses(all P<0.05),which could explain 35.7%of the total variation. Conclusions The nurse stressors are at a medium level, the problem of burnout is more prominent, and burnout will further increase with the increase of work pressure, which provides a certain theoretical basis for nursing managers to implement clinical interventions.
