Analysis on epidemic status of bacillary dysentery in Yuzhong District of Chongqing City from 2005-2021
Objective Through analyzing the epidemic status of bacillary dysentery in Yuzhong District of Chongqing City from 2005-2021,provide scientific basis for future prevention and control.Methods The descriptive epidemiological methods were used to analyze the epidemic status of bacillary dysentery in Yuzhong District of Chongqing from 2005-2021,and circular distribution method was used to analyze seasonal characteristics.Results A total of 6 607 cases of bacillary dysentery were reported in Yuzhong District of Chongqing from 2005-2021,the average annual incidence rate was 60.85/100 000,and the incidence rate showed a declining trend.The peak days of the disease were mostly during July to August,and the peak period was mostly during April to November.The gender ratio of male to female was 1.04∶1,the average incidence rate was 61.95/100 000 in males and 59.74/100 000 in females.It occurred in all age,and the highest incidence was in 0 year-old group(2 034.73/100 000).The top three occupations in terms of composition ratio were scattered children(34.22%),retired staff(15.67%),housework and unemployment(8.31%),accounting for 58.20%of the total cases.The top three streets with the highest annual incidence rate were Qixinggang(132.28/100 000),Lianglukou(125.30/100 000),and Shangqingsi(125.30/100 000).Conclusions The incidence of bacterial dysentery in Yuzhong District of Chongqing City has been decreasing in recent years.The prevention and control of bacterial dysentery in key streets and populations should be strengthened,especially in April to November.In addition to maintaining the prevention and control of low age group such as scattered children,it is important to strengthen the publicity of prevention and control of bacterial dysentery in the elderly such as retired people.
