Research progress and management implications on the influencing factors of emotional labor among nurses
Emotional labor refers to the process in which employees manage and control their internal and external emotions during work,in order to express emotions that are consistent with organizational rules.Nursing work is an intensive industry of emotional labor,and appropriate emotional labor investment and expression can improve the positive emotional experience of nurses,maintain good nurse-patient relationships,and bring better work conditions.Improper expression of emotional labor can lead to excessive consumption of nursing staff's own resources and exacerbate the generation of negative emotions.This article reviews the concept,measurement tools and the current situation of influencing factors of nurses'emotional labor,and proposes corresponding management suggestions from the aspects of social demographic factors,psychological characteristics and professional environment of nurses,aiming at providing references for clinical nursing managers to better manage emotional labor among nurses,improve their emotional expression ability,and conduct related intervention research in the future for nursing researchers.
