Study on the role pathway of professional respect and organizational trust on job exuberance of geriatric nurses in the northeast of Sichuan Province
Objective To understand the mediating effect of organizational trust between professional respect and job exuberance in geriatric nurses,and to lay a foundation for enhancing job exuberance among geriatric nurses.Methods From March to May 2023,399 geriatric nurses from 20 comprehensive hospitals in the northeast region of Sichuan Province were selected as reference objects.General information questionnaire,professional respect scale,organizational trust scale and job exuberance scale were used to investigate the correlation between professional respect,organizational trust and job exuberance.At the same time,Process plug-in model 4 and Bootstrap method were used to test the mediation effect of organizational trust.Results The scores of job exuberance,organizational trust and professional respect of geriatric nurses in the northeast of Sichuan Province were(39.83±4.71),(51.45±7.39)and(91.16±11.78)points,respectively.There were positive correlations between professional respect,organizational trust and job exuberance(all P<0.05).Occupational respect can directly affect job exuberance,or indirectly affect job exuberance through organizational trust,with a mediating effect accounting for 43.3%of the total effect.Conclusion The job exuberance of geriatric nurses in the northeastern region of Sichuan Province is above the medium level.Improving the professional respect of nurses can effectively enhance their trust in the organization,and thus show a high job exuberance.
