Analysis on willingness and influencing factors of pediatric medical staff to receive influenza vaccine in a grade-A tertiary children's hospital under the free policy
Objective To analyze the willingness and related influencing factors of pediatric medical staff to receive influenza vaccine under the free policy from 2022-2023.Methods In October 2022,pediatric medical staff from a grade-A tertiary children's hospital in Shenzhen City were selected as the survey subjects.A stratified sampling method was used to conduct a survey through online questionnaires to analyze the relevant influencing factors of their vaccination willingness.Results A total of 716 pediatric medical staff were surveyed,and the influenza vaccination rates in 2020 and 2021 were 49.30%and 52.65%,respectively.The willingness rate of medical staff to receive influenza vaccine in 2022 was 86.45%.The logistic regression model showed that female(OR=1.79,95%CI:1.09-2.93),knowledge of influenza(OR=2.02,95%CI:1.19-3.38),knowledge of influenza vaccine(OR=1.70,95%CI:1.01-2.83),receiving influenza vaccine in the past two years(OR=5.02,95%CI:3.06-8.46),and having chronic diseases(OR=0.35,95%CI:0.15-0.85)were the influencing factors on the willingness of medical staff to receive influenza vaccine.Conclusion From 2022-2023,pediatric medical staff in Shenzhen City showed a high willingness to receive influenza vaccines under the free policy.Improving the level of knowledge and health promotion and education on influenza and vaccine related knowledge,and providing convenient vaccination services such as temporary vaccination points in hospitals are effective ways to increase the coverage rate of influenza vaccine.
