Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has treated acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS)for more than 30 years,accumulating rich experience and achieving a lot of scientific research results.The effectiveness and reality of TCM in the treatment of AIDS,the preven-tion of AIDS,and the purpose of TCM in the treatment of AIDS were analyzed deeply based on clinical experience in this paper,and it was proposed that based on the current combination of TCM and western medicine,the subsequent research should give full play to the strengths of TCM in improving efficiency,reducing toxin,strengthening the body resistance,and correcting deviation and focus on correcting the poor immune reconstruction,alleviating serious adverse reactions,and reducing and treating some opportunistic infections in the prevention and treatment of AIDS,so as to improve the quality of life of infected patients.
