Analysis of Frostbite Animal Model Based on the Clinical Characteristics of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine
Frostbite is the damage to the body caused by external low temperature or exposure to cryogenic frozen articles.According to epidemio-logical investigation, the incidence of frostbite continues to increase in recent years, especially in military personnel and cold areas in the north. Therefore, preparation of desirable frostbite animal models is of great significance for clinical diagnosis, treatment and prevention of frostbite. The databases China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang Data,VIP and PubMed were searched, with"frostbite"as the subject word and"animal model"as the key word. This paper summarized the frostbite models and selected the animal models that could be used for reference. In addition, according to the clinical frostbite characteristics of traditional Chinese and western medicine as well as the etiology, pathogenesis, model determination index and diagnosis standard of traditional Chinese and western medicine, the characteristics and principle of the models were analyzed, and the clinical consistency was obtained. It was found that the methods of inducing frostbite main-ly included liquid nitrogen, cryogenic liquid immersion and natural environment simulation combined with freezing method.Among the mod-els,single factor low-temperature freezing model was more prepared because of its simple and easy preparation, short modeling period, and high success rate. The method of repeated freezing or continuous freezing was adopted abroad, and the dry ice-freezing magnet was applied to skin folds, which could limit the decrease of body temperature and improve the survival rate, and thus was of great reference value. Most of the cur-rent preparation methods were combined modeling, which could well reflect the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome of clinical pa-tients and the pathological characteristics of western medicine.Consistency assignment was used as a basis for comparison with clinical pa-tients,which could better study the cause and pathological mechanism of frostbite, thereby providing reference for the construction of disease-syndrome combination animal models that were more consistent to clinical practice.
