Research Progress in Hyssopus officinalis L.and Prediction of Its Q-Markers
Hyssopus officinalis L.,a widely used medicinal herb in Uygur medicine,contains essential oils and polyphenols and has anti-asthma,an-ti-inflammatory,anti-diabetes,and anti-tumor activities.This paper reviews the modern studies about the chemical constituents,pharmacologi-cal effects,and quality control of H.officinalis.On this basis,the quality markers(Q-markers)of H.officinalis are predicted with considera-tion to the phylogenetic relationship,medicinal effectiveness,medicinal properties,medicinal compatibility,and chemical component measura-bility.This review is expected to provide a reference for the further study and comprehensive utilization of H.officinalis.
