Treatment of Influenza in Children with 8 Oral Chinese Patent Medicines Combined with Oseltamivir:A Network Meta-Analysis
Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of 8 oral Chinese patent medicines combined with oseltamivir in treating influenza with a network meta-analysis,so as to provide evidence-based medical evidence for clinical medication.Methods:The randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of oral Chinese patent medicines combined with oseltamivir for treating influenza were retrieved from related databases.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,we screened the qualified RCTs and extracted information for quality evaluation.Stata 16.0 and Rev-Man5.3 were employed to carry out statistical analysis.Results:A total of 63 RCTs were included,involving 7537 cases.The network meta-analysis yielded the following trends based on the surface under the cumulative ranking curve (SUCRA).In terms of total response rate,the trend was Xiao'er Niuhuang Qingxin (小儿牛黄清心) Powder>Banlangen (板蓝根) Granules>Xiao'er Chiqiao Qingre (小儿豉翘清热) Granules>Lanqin (蓝芩) Oral Liquid>Lianhua Qingwen (连花清瘟)>Pudilan Xiaoyan (蒲地蓝消炎) Oral Liquid>Kanggan (抗感) Granules>Siji Kangbingdu (四季抗病毒) Mixture.In terms of the time to abatement of fever,the trend was Banlangen (板蓝根) Granules>Pudilan Xiaoyan (蒲地蓝消炎) Oral Liquid>Xiao'er Chiqiao Qingre (小儿豉翘清热) Granules>Xiao'er Niuhuang Qingxin (小儿牛黄清心) Powder>Siji Kangbingdu (四季抗病毒) Mixture>Lanqin (蓝芩) Oral Liquid>Lianhua Qingwen (连花清瘟)>Kanggan (抗感) Granules.In terms of the time to cough relief,the trend was Siji Kangbingdu (四季抗病毒) Mixture>Lanqin (蓝芩) O-ral Liquid>Banlangen (板蓝根) Granules>Xiao'er Chiqiao Qingre (小儿豉翘清热) Granules>Lianhua Qingwen (连花清瘟)>Xiao' er Niuhuang Qingxin (小儿牛黄清心) Powder>Pudilan Xiaoyan (蒲地蓝消炎) Oral Liquid.In terms of adverse events,the trend was Xi-ao'er Chiqiao Qingre (小儿豉翘清热) Granules>Xiao'er Niuhuang Qingxin (小儿牛黄清心) Powder>Pudilan Xiaoyan (蒲地蓝消炎) Oral Liquid>Lanqin (蓝芩) Oral Liquid>Siji Kangbingdu (四季抗病毒) Mixture>Lianhua Qingwen (连花清瘟).Conclusion:The 8 Chinese patent medicines combined with oseltamivir can effectively treat influenza in children,with unique characteristics and emphasis.
